seeking out the top dog has been beneficial in getting my local doctor to take more interest and work harder and even come up with a better diagnosis and treatment. Must be the competitive spirit. The top dogs are too busy with other things.
My triggers have been related to virus, physical, and hazardous chemical exposure, all irritants to the many nasal passages with perhaps an overreacting body. I couldn't get away from the phsyical aspects so head to meet it head on, no longer a problem. Leaving now for a flu shot I didn't get last year that resulted in CH's for three months, the strain I got last year literally stinged my nasal passages and anything would trigger off a CH.
If there is any benefits of CH's, I have out survived my peers, could not work in an office loaded with ozone and ammonia producing copy and blueprint machines, especially after the energy crisis, nor a machine tool smoked filled production area. My peers are all dead from heart attacks, strokes, and cancer, I am still kicking. The pain of a CH was just too great and ironically, my peers that were critical of my condition are dead.
I feel oxygen depravation is a cause for these headaches as O2 seems to be the best treatment for me. Wasted 23 years of my life taking just about every drug liated in the site with all the terrible side-effects associated with them. I had to take control of my own environment. CH's for me have always been the cumulation of another ailment, can't just enjoy laying in bed with the flu, have to have the damned CH's with it that spoils all the fun kind of thing.
While others would get light headed and happy in a low oxygen environment, I would be screaming in pain and had to get out. I stopped all drugs about seven years ago except for an occasional prednisone. I am more aware of my environment and find that if I am walking into a CH, and turn around and walk away from it, except for that damnned virus I caught last year.
Just got my flu shot, was real nice, clinic set it up in the lobby, walked in and out and was done in a minute. Do not enjoy sitting in a hot stuffy waiting room for 90 minutes because the dammed doctor is over scheduled, another place where I can get a CH. Best wishes to you, hope you find your cause.
