I don't get the air out, never have I was just telling Mike how to because he seemed unconfortable knowing it was there.
Last night I looked at the vails in my imitrex everyone of them have air in them. If you take a whole shot you never even see the vail so you wouldn't even know if there was air there. The drug companys see no harm in air being there so I don't see any either.
I think the main thing about taking a thired of a shot is that you keep your needle clean. I am chronic and take many shots in a years time. I have never had any problems what so ever.
As far as the blood I never had that problem so I don't know about that. I don't stab myself deep. I go in just above where the hole is in the needle where the med comes out. I am not a nurse but have talked to my Doctor about this and he told me the thired of a shot is a good idea because you are not using all the imitrex less side effects ect...The only time I have side effects is if I use a whole shot....so for me the thired works and cost less, and I can treat six clusters with one kit. I believe it is safe to do! I am sure glad DJ thought of it and shared it with us! Thanks again DJ!
Hugs back at you Tony!
