I'm a 23 years old design engineer, and until recently, had never suffered from any abnormal headache pain. A month ago, however, that all changed. While on an airplane, I had what felt like the worst 'ice cream headache' I have ever had, but I wasn't eating icecream, or anything cold, and it didn't go away. I blamed it on the altitude change. Since then I've been getting them 2 times a week or so. I had to leave work one day even because I simply could not function with the pain. I cannot pinpoint any direct trigger for them. My doc diagnosed them as cluster headaches, scheduled me for and MRI and put me on Axert.
I'm new to this whole cluster headache thing, any advice or support would be much appreciated. Is there any way out? I live an active lifestyle, and I simply don't have the time for this kind of illness.
