Yes, while I'm not a member of CSICOP or the other major skeptics group, The Skeptics Society, I am a supporter and read the magazines they publish when I can find them. The magazine shop in my little country town quit carrying them for some reason. Guess I'll just have to subscribe.
There's way too much superstition out there; people who believe such things as astrology and talking to the dead do themselve a disservice -- living in illusion, they tend to act against their own best interests. And the scum that exploit people by playing on superstition and irrationality are no better than thieves -- worse because they try to steal people's minds, not just their possessions.
They can't get much from me, howeever, having little mind, or possessions, to steal. :-)
Even worse are those who present skewed research and bad science as fact in order to promote their own political or financial interests. They steal from society in general, and sometimes to great harm to large numbers of people.
How's that for a rant?
Below is a link to the Skeptics Society, based at Cal Tech, I think, and publishers of "Skeptic" magazine:

Nice to meet a fellow rationalist (of sorts).
