Yeah, about 9 day/night. They last anywhere from a half hour to 4 hours. Before I got on verapamil, I used to self-treat with antihistamines. Went to a neuro and he put me on Bellergal Tabs - didn't work. Went to another who prescribed verapamil - first 120, then to 240. Have been on 240 for about 7 years with only minor breathroughs until 2 weeks ago when it stopped working. Since about Oct. 10th they are happening more frequently, are lasting longer and are more intense. Currently, only vicodin and percocet are controlling the pain. Midrin takes too long to work. O2 works but only for about 1/2 hr. max. indocin hasn't touched it yet (but have only taken 3 of those), Nasacort doesn't work, 480 mg verap casued a pain crisis and went to ER and told to go back to 240 mgs. I will be getting a referral to a neuro tomorrow...
