being a nurse in the drug and alcohol field and working with addictions everyday...seeing firsthand how addiction can ruin your life...even the kind of addiction, you can get from taking prescription pain medication for a legitimate reason...but I have one question here...I can't help but wonder why your Doc did not raise your verapamil since you are at such a low dose...and why would he put you on Morphine for shadows and random hits? What would he prescribe for a kip 10 or if you had been up for weeks getting hit 3 to 4 times a nite ? This is really scary to me. Morphine is a highly addictive drug and it does not take long at all to get addicted to it. Plus the withdrawals are pure hell...I have to question your Doc's reasoning here...sorry but I have seen Docs put clusterheads in the hospital on IV DHE when their clusters were so out of control that none of the preventatives were stopping the pain....Please Please be very careful...Morphine is a dangerous drug and before you know it, you are addicted...I am saying this out of concern so I hope you do not get offended...Believe me, my intentions are good...smiles,nancyc
