Hi all,Last Friday, before an out-of-state busness trip, couldn't wait for my appt. Monday (today) in case I got a really bad one on the road. I work in hospitals as a health information consultant. The Nurse practitioner, the only one at my doc's ofice on duty, was not conmfortable with me upping my verap. doasge from 240 to 480, so he prescribed vicodin. Now, I've taken vicodin for back strain and after my appy, and I didn't think it would touch it - well, I wsas wrong. I did get a very bad one and after taking 1 tablet of vicodin, within 20 minutes it was gone! Now, in this cycle, my headaches are switching to first thing in the morning and around 9:00 every night - in addition to a couple during the night that wake me up (but I can get back to sleep) and several, small ones during the day. I have cut out beer/alcohol completely as these are definitely triggers for me, along with overheated rooms/cars.On to the doctors today, where I am going to beg for O2 and a longer supply of vicodin for the "10" CH's (despite its being a narcotic). Thanks for all your messages and help!. Hang in there! Jim R
