I was prescribed Imitrex for the first time. Neuro prescribed Nasal spray and Tabs would not give me the inject till I tried these two. The night before last, my first armed with Imitrex, I actually thought that psychologically I would have a PF night now that I have the wonder drug.no such luck. I woke up with the worst in memory, sucked in two nasals. Wow, this was a first in history for me. five minutes later the pain was gone, but the watery eye and nasal congestion remained. (I used my left nostrill to inhale) It was weird becaus my head was still sensitive but the pain was virtually gone. Twenty minutes and boom, the devil burst back, and I took two tablets. 10 minutes later PF. went back to sleep, and woke up yet again at 5.AM with another! took two mre tabs and slept till ten. Not good for my workday.Anyway last night I woke up luckily just before the headache, I get a 2 minute warning with little pangs in my temple before the full onslaught. Took two tabs, and was pain free the rest of the night.Seems that taking the tabs or spray during the fierce pain just delays it for a while. I will keep experimenting before I request the injections.
