well, I would take a photo, e-mail it off to the home office.
Then, i'd tie his hands to the tree limb and tell him that I would be right back. Scoot over to the hotel (where all the other journalist are staying) grab my video camera.
Then, i'd tell everyone what is up, go back to the river with the other reporters and video tape them throwing rocks at the rope around his wrists until it breaks. Then e-mail the video.
Go back to the hotel, eat, drink and be merry.
That's what I would do.
