Folks,
It has been awhile since I have posted but had to tell you about this. My family got Insurance last month through my wife's job. It is through United Health Care. Anyway, I had my doctor write a script for 30 Boxes of Imitrex inj. per month (because I am having 2 headaches a day now) As we figured It was rejected. After three phone calls and a little heated argument they approved it for a year (then I need to renew it).
And then the Pharmacist from Merck-Medco called and suggested imitrex vials. Which allow me to determine the dosage. No more Q-tips pushing half or a third. Now I just measure it and inject away.
Maybe it is worth calling your insurance companies guys. This is the second company i have been lucky enough to convince that I need this drug. If I can help or offer advice let me know.
BTW I used one-two injections a day for three years with no side effects (except when I had a sunburn then the burned skin tingles)
Good luck to you all,
PFD&N
