I'm 49 and have had clusters since I was 15. I also get migraines,they started about 5years ago.I could never find a doctor to believe me.The last one was a neuologist.He gave it the name Hemi-cranial pain. Ya no kidding pain on one side of my head.What a putz.I just found a doctor about a year ago. She believes me!We are working on getting these headaches to go away.The migraines are almost gone.Amitriptyline took care of the migrains and it has helped some with the clusters.I used to get clusters continuously for up to 3 months.now one every 2-3 days for about 3 months.I use fiorinal mostly but vicodin is for the stubborn headaches sometimes even that doesn't work.Thats when I hit bottom and get depressed for a while.I bounce back later. My next visit to the doctors I am going to talk to her about better prevention of these God -forsaken headaches.I am so freaking tired.Tired of the headaches and just plain tired.I just got over a 3 month stretch.It was very dibilatating.Thank God the ladies where I work are understanding.Recently they experienced three clusters while I was at work.It wasn't very pretty and I caused them concern.But they understood after I did some explaining. well thanks for listening. Pain free for 6 days!!!!!!!
