Wouldn't do much either, AND the magnitude of the doseage of those drugs is much larger. Please keep hallucinogens in perspective. The fact that a single tiny dose is enough for some people is nothing short of a miracle. Many others have had to take several doses. We even have a couple of chronics dosing every 2 weeks with a small dose.
Also there are several related hallucinogens that might be effective where shrooms have failed. This is the case with many prescription drugs, they come in various flavours since everyone is different. It isn't fair to say "I tried shrooms once therefore hallucinogens don't work for me". Imagine if a doctor was prescribing these drugs. He would make you try several doses of each drug, then switch you onto another related drug. A really methodical, scientific approach. Our there are also:
Different types of mushroom
LSD
LSA
DMT
Mescaline
Also who is to say that a combination might not be the best. Unfortunately we aren't Glaxo, and don't have hundreds of labs staffed with thousands of PHDs working with billions to spend.
Don't give up. Hallucinogens are not always a one off treatment. If you've tried them once at least you know what to expect. Got anything better to do ;)
