dare comment on it, at first, because I am a non-American foreigner, but from the moment I knew this war was going to happen, my heart went out to the women of Afghanistan.
Prevented from expressing an opinion, prevented from influencing their sons and husbands against this monstrous regime - they are now being prevented from living! Taliban forbids women (many of whom are war widows) to work outside of the home, yet will not help them get food for their families.
They are only allowed to starve behind their veils. And when they do they will not get medical attention. They may not be seen by male doctors and female doctors are forbidden to practise...
And now they will be allowed by worthless philosophers with beards, to get bombed too.
I so try to be tolerant of religions, even fundamentalist religions, Christian and Muslim alike. This I cannot swallow.
So thank you Chuck, for thinking of them.
