and black outs in the early 40's as a very young child. When the air raid siren at the town hall sounded, we pulled the curtains, turned off all the lights and radio and dad put out his cigarette. I remember having nightmares of being bombed, and once when walking outside, hearing an plane and getting so scared that I laid down in a ditch. I remember the drills in school and hiding under desks.
All of these feelings came back today, and yes, I too am afraid.
I hope and pray for the safety of our boys and girls involved in this new war and for the poor people hearing the noises and actually feeling the effects that I can only imagine.
We have always been a strong nation, and with our allies we will again overcome and win. We must all stick together as one people and can't allow Bin Ladins' so called holy war divide the people in our country. That seems to be his prime goal at the moment - to split us in half within our own country, and also the same in other countries.
One Nation indivisible! And Freedon shall ring!
