Nick,
Here's my background:
I'm a 50 year old, white male. Been an episodic cluster sufferer for 30+ years.
For the first 20 years I would get a 4 to 6 week long cluster every 8 or 9 months.
When I turned 40 years old, the remissions jumped to 2 years long but the clusters also lengthened. A 12 week long cluster every 2 years.
Since then, every cluster has gotten a little easier and each remission a little longer. Last cluster was 5 weeks long and last remission was 2 years 5 months.
I've been posting here since January 1999. I haven't posted quite as much lately because I spend most of my time working on the OUCH web site. I have been back more becasue my cluster did start about 4 1/2 weeks ago. I can make enough time to pay short visits here but I really can't stare at the screen long enough to work on the OUCH site at the moment.
Try the O2. It really holds my headaches at the Kip1 or 2 level while I wait for the triptan to take effect (for lesser headaches the O2 even knocks it out completely).
Good luck.
Bob
