From most reports here, if O2 doesn't work within about 15 minutes, it's not going to work. I almost always get relief within 5-10 minutes, providing that I get on the tank at first symtoms. Are you using a non-rebreathing mask/bag? Are you using a flow rate of 8-12 lpm? When I'm at cycle peak, I have gone through 4-5 E-tanks in a week, so I keep a supply of 6 bottles to make sure I don't run out. If oxygen aborts your CH, you should carry it with you everywhere, public opinion be damned.
