This is my first time wandering through the messages - I only found out this site existed a year ago. I've learned a heap going through the messages for the REAL experts (the ones with CH).
I've had CH for about 15 years. Imitrex works fine for the individual CH, but haven't found anything to kill a cluster.
The current set of clusters is just over (two days without a CH). Feels damned good.
Here's the question that I hope some folks out there can help me with. My Doc put me on prednizone - 100 mg/day for ten days and then decreasing by 10 mg/day until zero.
I did not get a CH for two days when I started taking the prednizone. Then they came back... just like usual.
But....
The last CH coincided with the last dose of prednizone. Coincidence? I don't know. It was a shorter than usual cluster period (8 weeks instead of 10 - 12).
For those of you who have used prednizone with some success:
*did this "work" the way it is supposed to?
*does the CH usually go away when you are
finishing the prednizone regime?
*I've read some messages about people having lots of energy when on this stuff. I felt like crap - tired, like I had been poisoned. Anyone else fell like this?
I would appreciate some insight from those who have some.
