I have only recently been diagnosed as a clusterhead and boy has this been frustrating. I do have some questions for this illustrious group. I was having pain free nasal blockage for two months (Mar-Apr) follwed by a month of remission then in June the nasal blockage came back but he brought along a friend. I went through all the normal misdiagnoses, saw two ENT docs and an allergist before they figured it out. My attacks are somewhat under control right now with Lithium, Verapamil, and Imitrex but during the time that I would normally be having an attack I still have the nasal blockage. My attacks come at; 0700-0800, 1200-1300, 1600-1700, 2100-2200, and 0100-0200 everyday. So I thought it was odd that even when the meds were working that my sinus will still lock up tighter than a drum. What do you guys think? Also what are some of the side effects you guys have had with long term use of Imitrex. I tried using oxygen but in conjunction with all the other meds it dehydrated me so bad that I have quit using it, it literally sucked the mosisture right out of me. Have you had similar experiences and what did you do about it. I am sorry this is so long, take care and God bless. Dave.
