So, the Neurontin is working (sort of). HA are down to 4 to 8 a day. I just can't take the pain anymore. I had yet another ER trip yesterday - at least I talked them out of compazine this time, but I ended up with Toradol (now I'll be bruised from head to toe for weeks). Drs don't want to give pain meds that can be addictive...is it better for me to be going to the ER (at $3K each time...) than to be taking something that actually works? By the time yesterday's worst HA hit 3 hours, it was up to a 9 1/2 on the KIP scale. I have NO idea how I manage to function, to drive, to even stand, but I do somehow.
Today's latest HA (#5) is gaining steam - up to above a 6 on the KIP scale...thank goodness the kids aren't home right now!
Thanks for listening,
Elizabeth
