22 years in the Marine Corps did not prepare me for the emotional toll this has taken on me. This has me on such an emtional roll-a-coaster. I am amazed I have remained PF through all this. Today is a week since the murder of our people in NY. I want all of you to know how much I love you one and all. I read something that brought tears to my eyes, "We are Americans but we do not just live in America...America lives in us." Almost 40 years ago I was a 17 year old high school drop-out and a car thief with a record and you took me in the USMC. Today I realize more than ever what America has done for me. I am blessed beyond belief to have been born here. For 22 years I stood ready for war but now I am old and a new generation has stepped in. Proud young women and men ready to lay down their lives for us. So tonight and to your God please pray for those Americans that will be put in harms way!
