In my experience hallucinogens will not erradicate all traces of CH 100%. You may experience the odd shadow or twinge, even the occasional headache. These will coincide with when your episode was due. I scarely keep note of this type of occurence any more. At worst they are like a mild migraine, occasionally running all day. Most days are completely pain free.
As far as booze goes I start again as sson as I've taken the hallucinogens. In fact occasionally I start drinking 15mins before I take then, to generate a bad headaches so that I can experience the unique pleasure of having it destroyed. This requires a lot of experience with the treatment, and a fair old idea of how your body will react. It's a trial and error process for each individual.
I know that to some extent pinky has been advocating redosing until all traces of CH are eradicated. I have voiced the opinion that this may be counter productive. If you are getting hit by 2 x kip 2 every week then just ignore it. That's normal. My own formula is to use hallucinogens whenever the headaches become debilitating, and I am able to function normally in the course of my life, or whenever they take a definite turn for the worse.
The secret is not to worry about the odd twinge. You'll soon get used to the idea that your remission is relatively stable if ever so slightly imperfect. Let me repeat - I hardly register the twinges any more.
What can cause a setback is excessive stress, irregular sleep patterns (including too much sleep), irregular mealtimes, and too much indulgance in booze. Usually it's a combination of all of those that upsets the apple cart.
Hope that information is useful.
