How long can someone be on prednisone? The reason I ask is my husband has received conflicting information from several doctors regarding the length of time he can be on it. (My husband uses it 2-3 weeks prior to a cycle and it seems to prevent the cycle from rearing it's ugly head. He typically has 3-4 cycles per year.) One doctor told us no longer than 3 weeks. Another told us a couple of months.
I'd like to know 1) what are your experiences with prednisone and 2) what dangers are associated with being on the drug for prolonged periods of time. Thanks!
