I believe "turning the other cheek" did not call us to be doormats. It was giving the hitter a chance to NOT hit the other cheek...giving him the oppurtunity to say "i'm sorry...i was wrong"
Much the same way we american's in our courts and foreign policy delay "nuking" the first offence. Tuesday....we ran out of cheeks.
I hope as these terrorists take their last breath and see all those around them killed that they say "i'm sorry ...I was wrong"
