unfortunately I don't know about cooking. So I joined the club a fourthnight ago since I know more about CH.
About what I read on the board I understand that I'm not the worst case in town, never hit a 10 on the kip scale, very seldom a 9 but frequrntly an 8. Here in Holland at school when you hit an 8 you are supposed to be a good student, wich of course I almost never was. Only sometimes. How I came to this site will be obvious, You get sick of 8 years chronic CH, come back from your vacation in a bad shape and start searching the web. That's how I found you guys.
Eight years ago I went to see my neuro, This very friendly man imediatly got me in touch with an expert professor in Utrecht. He diagnosed what we call facial pain. 120mg of tegretol per day would do the trick he promissed. 3-4-5 years later I was digesting 720mg per day, walking around like a Zombie with no relief what so ever. I had better given this medecine to my dog, he's suffering from epileptics, not me. My neuro later said "I'm with my back against the wall", at least he was honest. Two and a half years ago I saw this docter at the painclinic, he concluded CH. Switched me from the tegretol to verapamil. That helped, gave me some pfds. Furthermore he played darts on me a few times already. I should know the proper words in English but they won't come up. When I came back from my vacation in Thailand (took the beast with me as well, you can't leave him behind can you) I started to look on the internet for treatments, medicines etc. That is when I first learned about Imigran or Imitrex if there is any difference. With this message I went to see my neuro again. I told him I would like to try the nasal spray. He was very much in favor of this, he even wanted to further and hook me up for the injections. I said better try the spray first and he agreed. Why the f*** THIT HE NEVER COME UP WITH THIS IDEA HIMSELF. You see what I mean, I had to play the neuro myself here. All I need now is a PHD and I'm off.
