Oh how it is still just as fresh in my mind as the time it all took place. You new people want to learn about it and the things us five went though to start OUCH go back in the post to July 15 1999 tho Aug 6 or 7Th.
It all started cause I wanted to met Dave and his family in person. There was talk on the board about a organization a man name lcbob came up with the name OUCH.
Dave (Drummer) was the first person that I emailed with and talked to on ch.com. He helped me find a good Doctor and get the meds I needed.
He was my friend and my supporter from day one I came to the site. He is still my friend and when I need him I just write the words punching bag in the subject of my email and he replys to this day.
But because of this site and all the good people I have not had to put that in the subject of my email.
I made plans for the trip to his house I told him when i was able to travel I was coming to see him.
Well what started out to be just me, turned into three more coming also.I was talking to Kip on icq one night and said hey why don't you go to, same thing happen with Todd, Kip got hold of Barbara and next thing I knew we were all in Daves garage. Poor Dave and Laurie. God it is a wonder the neighbors did not make them move after our visit.
We got together we planed alot and we learned a lot. It was the first time anyone from ch.com had met and it was our first time meeting another clusterhead. It made us all know just how important OUCH was and we all said let's make it happen and we did. DJ was in on this to. We talked to him by phone and I went to see him on my way home.
Like I said you want to know what we learned go back and read the post from each one of us durning those days.
Here is what Dave learned and I learned. I learned it helps to hold the hand of someone that knows. It took all my fear away. Dave learned what it was like to be a supporter. I posted a link to his post he made back then.
Dave I still say I am sorry tho, habbit I guess.
