My 2 grandchildren have gone thru this. Their parents were divorced and their father took the easy way out!! He let his kids down. He more or less told them he did not care about their lives. Now both are in therapy, trying to deal with this,,wondering why their Dad left them, what they did to make him leave them, blaming themselves..and they are only 6 and 7 yrs old. They were 2 and 3 when this happened..so they did not get over this in a couple of months. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOUR KIDS!!!
You copping out on them only proves you are a coward and do not want to be in their lives.
Sorry, if this is harsh...but been there, done that..and I know the effects it leaves.
