Dave, get specific. I hear your point about migraine sites that are effective. You want to claim a specific direction ... let me hear it.
I want to see us use tried and tested ideas that are proven to work. We have a model in OUCH UK that is growing. They work with Migraine groups becasue they understand the value they have.
You thought this was a group that was going places ... why????
An Org does not start up to sit around and go stale. They join together to make a diffrence in some way. They join together to make what they feel is a positive change. OUCH is here to help other understand Clusters.
What exactly do you want to bring to the table?
What do I want to bring to the table. I want to bring one thing. AWARNESS. But members need to work together under one common idea to make that happen.
On any given day we can find the good .... the bad and the ugly on this board. I try to stay out of the fights and I do hold OUCH representatives to a higher standard but if you want my vote for VP then you need to quit telling me about what everyone does wrong and start telling me about what you will do that is right. Don't get me wrong ... the time has come for this discusion.
Please understand this was not done because of me running for office. This was done because I am tired of listing to people put each other down for speaking out and not bringing anything of there own to the table. You ask what have I done, I have gone out and looked for all I can information wise to share with others, I have worked in the back ground to make new people aware of OUCH via E-mail because I feel personal is better. I have been working to find ways to get information so that we as a group can grow. But most of all I have been doing all I can to stay out of the mainstream of fights and what not. This is not about fighting it is about people putting in ideas when they do not agree with anothers and giving valid reasons why the idea will not work. I spoke out so that people may wake up and start sharing ideas to make OUCH grow instead of crying about it. OUCH needs people who are willing to make a stand. I am trying to call those people out and get them to stand up for what they believe in.
All who seek office - what is your vision? Where do you want to bring OUCH?
I want to bring OUCH out to what OUCH UK has become and then take it another step. I want to make OUCH a household name such as migraine. But we need people who are willing to work together like adults to do that. No one person can do that alone.
What can we expect from you?
All I want to say to this is that again it is not about the election but about the Org as a whole. It is about each and every member pulling together to make the Org a better place for all of us. Bob P. is the head and we will follow him but we as a unit have to start bringing ideas to make clusters better known and that can only happen by team work and utilizing things that are there for us. We have a road laid for us but we still insist on laying our own. What I want and where I want to take OUCH is down a road that will get our quest out to the public in the fastest manner possible with the most impact. Isn't that what we all want? Isn't that what any one running for office should be working for?
