Hi all,
today ends the 4th week on the latest cluster. Switched from Verapamil to Lithobid towards the end of the last one (Sept. 2000) but it seems not to work. The doc has me up to 1200mg per day on the Lithobid. We just decided that I should try Verapamil AND Lithobid, so that's where I'm at now. Imitrex inhalers are becoming less effective, and besides, my frigin insurance company cut me off at 12 per month! I think I may have found a combo for abortive measures. I tryed O2 last year for the first time, and it works great if I can get to it when the shadow comes into view. Huff for 10-12 minutes, and all is good...but only for about an hour. Last night I had about 5 sessions with the O2, then thought...how about an Imitrex pill, then huff. I figured since the pills take a long time to kick in, the O2 wouild take care of the first hour. It SEEMED to work. I'm going to try it tonight before the first huff. I'll let you know tomorrow!
BTW, What exactly is a rebreathing mask? The one I have is one of those that looks like an athletic cup (but without the smell) with a few tiny air vents at either side of the nose. Is this what I want?
Thanks!
