Speaking as one who's been on this site from almost the beginning of time, I've seen CHers come and go and we've discussed everything from drugs to harmones to Kip's experience with the Rothwielder. We've had ups and downs and people getting their nose's out of joint and going away angry, coming back and going away again.
To be honest, there are very few here today that were here three or four years ago (or whenever this site was put up - I lose track of time). A couple of years ago, I read EVERY post - today I skip a lot of them because some ARE a lot of BS.
But that being said - we DO still need a place to sound off and this board DOES serve that purpose. There's been many a night a lot of us had no where else to go and this board was our SALVATION. We knew we had people here who understood where we were coming from regardless of WHAT we said. I sincerely feel this site has saved a lot of us from the big sleep because we had a place to sound off.
But we tend to get a little too much into each other's business and lives at times and the bickering and name calling sometimes gets out of hand and that part could be done by e-mail. It would look better to newbies and people like Dr. K's. But I guess when we're hurting we just don't think about how it's gonna look to anyone.Maybe if we weren't hurting so bad we'd think and tone it down some, but that probably won't happen, so... we always talk about it, but never do it.
Maybe people like Dr. K need to realize that Clusterheads are human and we HURT and READ these posts - in our way, we are begging for HELP! This is just our way of expressing it. Instead of "looking down" on us - he should be looking for ways to HELP us!
Of course that's just my opinion - but I've always thought everyone was entitled to it!
