You're right, we should all be nice to each other and restrict the MB to help, advice and support - in an ideal world I can't see that anyone on this board would disagree with that, but we're human beings. More than that, we're human beings who are often in excrutiating pain which leads to frustration, anger, being unreasonable and sometimes to open hostility. I would hope that medical professionals reading the board and some of the posts could see past the negative messages. I really can see why Dr Kudrow may have a negative view of this message board, but I would hope that as an intelligent man he would see that the board is not here for him, it is here for us. If he reads this, and feels that he needs reminding why he is doing the valuable work that he is doing, I would ask him to look at the guest book, where new visitors and supporters pour their hearts out.
We desperately need people like Dr Kudrow on our side to look after the scientific and medical research and to seek more ways to relieve or hopefully cure this condition, but we also desperately need the bunch of office workers, shop assistants, car mechanics, full time mums, teachers and other assorted members of Joe Public who are the backbone of this message board, warts and all. Like I said before I started rambling, I do agree with you that in an ideal world this board would be full of people being really nice to each other and Dr Kudrow would think we were all really lovely people. Sadly, we're not all really lovely all the time, we're just really human.
I'm glad you don't have CH Mary, but I'm really sorry you had to find out it is CPH instead. I wish you nothing but the best for the future, and thank you for helping us all to remember that we should try to keep the personal arguments off the board.
