Only another cluster sufferer (or supporter) can possibly know what it's like. Before this site was established, I had met only one other clusterhead. The first day of class (at the college where I was teaching) a student came up to me afterwards and said that he might sometimes have to leave in the middle of class, and asked whether this would be alright. He explained, a little hesitantly, that he had cluster headaches (probably not expecting me to understand). The emotion I experienced (having, at that time, suffered from clusters for about 40 years without ever having met anyone else with that disorder) was almost overwhelming. Unfortunately, I had to inform him that one letter grade would be deducted from his final average for each time he staggered out of class. (You don't believe I really said that, do you?) Anyhow, it is certainly comforting to know that there is a home here, filled with people who know what you are going through.
