not much of a speller or letter writer but,MRI I have had two of them showed nothing both times both over the counter drugs that you mentioned have done nothing for me Don't mean they won't work for him.Oxegen has been my best fight with my headaches.Sounds like aughest is his cycle time of the year Myself Ime a cronic CH person can have them anytime,anytime of the year I'm on Lithium,Verapimil year around I would sugest the oxegon to try to get through his cycle I'm a 13yr Cluster headache sufferr I'm sorry I can't do more to help you
