You need not bother to argue with jonny. He has this weird way of sometimes not even reading a post thoroughly before slamming out a thoughtless reply. He does act pretty stupid at times. That is his way - and quite a few people seem to like it, so he gets by with it. Actualy, I find it exceedingly boring.
I used to be buddies with jonny, but I think he is too closed-minded. True, we want to concentrate of CH here, but if a relative of yours wants to post about your CH or family problems related to it, then this person is most welcome.
We do not discuss other illnesses much - not just to keep this site "pure" so to speak, but because we have very limited knowledge about other diseases for the most part.
It would be wrong of me to post about a disease I have not had.
The best support comes from those with experience dealing with the *same* ailment.
Jonny tries to say this, but he comes across as very belliegerent at times. Actually, he is said to be a very kind person. He is generous when donations are asked for. If you called him and asked for help, he would try to help you. Basically, he is a good person - just sometimes displays annoying characteristics. And I think he sometimes tries to live up to the role people here have assigned to him.
He knows I feel this way because I have told him so. But he will not change to please an old, prudish woman.
Just ignore posts that you know will be upsetting. I have learned over the years which to read and which to skip over. Peope are pretty predictable here. I don't post anymore, but I lurk around checking up on my friends.
Write me personally if I can help. And be patient - as someone
already replied to you, many are in almost constant pain - and that does distort the view of the world in some cases.
PFNAD,
Bennie Sue
It just might bite you in the ass!
