I am new to this site, found it while searching for info for a friend, and former student. I noticed in a couple of posts, that "I would rather be an addict than have the pain." My friend bacame addicted first to percodan,because it worked for his clusters and when that was no longer available he was introduced to illegal drugs, specifically crystal meth. Of course the meth kept him from sleeping and so no Clusters. However, it led to drug psychosis, and he went off the deep end doing all sorts of things out of character. To make a long story short he is now in the county jail awaiting trial. Wondering if anyone else has gone the route of illegal drug use to rid themselves of pain.
