I am a 45 year old female who has dealt with these monsters for 29 years. After that many years I am up for trying anything and everything. The only thing in the past that has given me even a 25% amount of relief was sansert - and that didn't work in my peak weeks of my 8- 10 week cycle. I decided to try the water treatment this time when they started and to my amazement it is working incredibly well. I find I need to drink between 1 and 2 gallons a day. Sounds impossible but not to anyone who suffers from these things - we will try anything.
I almost feel like I am at the end of my cycle rather than 3 weeks in. If I wake with the start of one I down 2 huge glasses and it disappears. If I feel a shadow - I start downing water - gone. I find this absolutely amazing after all my years of varying treatments - prednisone, imitrex, ergotamine, etc. etc.
If you haven't tried it - I would highly recommend giving it a shot. The porcelain chair becomes your best friend but it is a small inconvenience compared to the alternative.
