we have another option. We can ask our doctors not to get creative and stick to only things that have proven helpful for anyone BUT us. We can ask them to stay within the box and proceed with guidelines. We can tell them ALL about shrooms and let them think they are idiots for trying something guinea piggish. Or, for once, we can appreciate any doctor who has the decency to guinea pig us and try something not in the literature, but may help regardless. My neuro doesn't want to guinea pig me. That means she won't go over 560 verap. that's guinea pigging for her. despite the literature and letters from her colleagues dealing with CH, she won't "guinea pig me and give me what I need. So before we bitch about the medical community trying something new and never tested before, ask if you were getting a drop of relief from what's "reccomended."
