my neurologist told me back in 1994, that typically what happens is that we have a light year, then a bad year, then a light or "none" year, then a bad year. Last year, I had a long bad episode. So far, this year, i have been light. Never quite going into a full attack. But I also just started.. so who knows. I started the verapamil this week just in case. I don't think I will ever be over this. But I'm hoping for a light year this year. Things i'm doing different is avoiding all alcohol two months prior... and drinking lots of water. Don't know if it will help, but I think it will some. Beer seems to really cause them to be worse, and staying hydrated usually lessons the severity of attacks. Maybe this is causing my lighter (so far) year? As a matter of fact, years I drank alot more beer, they were really bad!
