Yesterday afternoon I was in to see my Dr. to get any relief I could for the 10's I've been having lately.
By the way, they don't get any better as you get older! Anyway, my Dr. has a new (young) Dr. working with him.
He had the new guy see me. My supporter was with me to help with the talking as I was up to an 8 then. When I
saw him the first thing I asked him was if he knew what CH were! He said yes and had recently read an article
about them. FYI the article said that research on CH was going nowhere. Anyway, he preceded to ask me the usual
questions a new Dr. asks. Where does it hurt, what meds are you on, etc. etc. My wife was answering as he asked,
but cut the crap short when he could see that I was barely hanging on to what sanity I have left! He wants to see
me again in a couple days to see how I'm doing. I'll be ready for him this time! Here's the point I want to make.
After the initial crap and after I had the shot that would put me out, I summoned up the guts to talk during the
attack. I told him about this website and that he should check it out. He said he would this weekend. I thought
about it a second and said if he is really interested about being sincere about dealing with a CH sufferer, he should
post a message on this MB. He should say that he is a new Dr. and wants to do the best he can in dealing with
clusterheads. And that he wants your input as to how he should treat CH patients.
So, if you see this type of post in the near future, fill him in. He is probably up on the meds. I guess I'm just
thinking about how we should be treated. As people in pain that need help now, not tomorrow or next week; or as
druggies looking for more. Referring to horrors of ER. Whatever!
He may not, but does seem interested in finding out. At least it will be one more Dr. that will know what is going on.
Who knows? Maybe in the future he will do something great. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I will see him
again Thurs. and will do my best to persuade him to do this. Something to think about folks.
I told him that the mushroom treatment sounds to be the most promising right now. Apologies if this post is a little
confusing. Have a level 7 that is rising and the paranoia of knowing what is coming is killing me. PFDN to all.
