And your accounts of the others you have spoken to while there at the hospital. Sigh. I just don't understand why God does those kinds of things to (or allows them to happen to) people. Especially children. Most especially children. They hold a very special place in my heart. Parents to. I guess that kind of thing always takes me right down to a central core issue.
I love and believe in God for all the wonderful things that are in life. I am supposed to be thankful for it all. The 'grand tapestry' kind of thing. But, if he is omnipotent, then WTF!? I also, at times in my life, have felt nothing but bitterness and hatred for him. I cannot profess to understand why these and other terrible things have to happen. I mean WHY dammit!? In the end, I can only throw up my hands and pray that he will be merciful in his dealings with us and hope the good things will outweigh the bad things. I don't know. Sigh.
Life is a strange and interesting process to be sure, and each and every one of us is the center of their own universe. I just try not to forget about everyone else's along the way...
You guys have a whole lot of happy time together bro. I will be praying for it.
