Life has dealt me some pretty tough blows too, and a couple of times I had to start over again from scratch. Now in my advanced age (bummer!) I look back on it all and see that the tragedies always got me out of a bad rut, caused me to learn a lot, and eventually got me on a pretty good track. These apparent setbacks are hard as hell to deal with, but I'll betcha things finally work out much better than you expect. I'm not a religious person (I'm Taoist actually), but as it says in the Desiderata, you are a "child of the universe," you belong here, and you have an important role to play in the scheme of things. So try not to despair, go with flow, and as Mike B always sez, something good is bound to happen.
