I have posted before, but you all may not remember my post back then. I have suffered from these things for about 6 years. I have been diagnosed with CH and Migraines. For years, I thought that I simply had migraines, but when I would end up in the ER for 3 days in a row, I got lucky one day and the MD covering the ER was a "headache specialist". She looked at my chart and diagnosed me with CH and referred me to a neuro. The neuro didn't know anything about these conditions and I was better treated (in my opinion) by my regular family MD.
Anyway, I have become chronic (to the best of my knowledge) in the past year. I might get lucky and have one or two days pain free...like today....:o).
So....on to my question. I have spent many a night in the ER and they tried oxygen (it NEVER helped). I was thinking the other night during an attack that maybe by the time I "give up" and run to the ER it is too late for O2 to work. Is this possible? How does it help you folks that have it at home? Would you recommend me getting a tank and regulator at home?
Just a thought.
lessee.....how do you do it?????
PFDAN's
