The pain for me is more around my eye, in my forehead, and all over my scalp. When I am getting hit a lot, I can't even comb my hair...it is too excrutiating. I have gotten black eyes before during an attack too. I always thought that I was pressing too hard on my eye or trying too hard to pry it out, but one fateful neuro visit, my dr and I had the pleasure (?) of watching my eye bruise from the inside out. He said that the blood vessels in that area were stretched out and tender from dilating so much that they were now bursting. I haven't heard of this before, but that was his theory. So anyway, if you see a girl walking around with a bog ole shiner and a rat's nest for hair, perchance she is just another clusterhead making her way in this world...
