I have been reading up on this bit of grey matter, known as the Hypothalamus. I have read about how it controls cardia rhythms and blood pressure.
When I was eighteen I was running every week with an athletics club, so I was very fit. One day I visited a mobile blood pressure unit which was in our neighbourhood, just for the hell of it. I had my reading taken and it was way....way up, infact I was told " you have the blood pressure of an eighty year old in poor health". So surprised were the testers that they put me on another testing machine, thinking the other might be faulty.
From there I went to a specialist for some heart tests. The result came back that I had a heart murmur -an irregular heart rhythmn.Because I was not experiencing any pain I was not put on any medication. The specialist could not explain the blood pressure, which was very good when he tested.
Six years later whilst playing basketball I received a severe hit to the temple....two weeks later C.H. kick in......fifteen years later.....still got 'em !!!
Couple of questions.....
Have we all been born with a dysfunctional Hypothalamus ??
Can one have a dysfunctional Hypothalamus - but no C.H's - Can the headaches remain dormant for life ??
Had I not received a hit would I have gone through life with just a heart murmur - no C.H's.
Have we all had a catalyst which has started the C.H's.......I.E physical or emotional trauma ??
Just thinking 'bout it...
Best Wishes To All...
