Have you considered internal parasite. Worms of many different types can occupy different parts of the body. They are sugar eaters and fallow the flow of sugar through the body. There is a constant flow of sugar to the brain and worms could settle in these areas around the neck and under the cranium. They can exert pressure on sensitive areas. If you haven't consider this then start researching parasites on the web.
