Dear Melodi, Love to you and your son. When my husband was hospitalized at the Diamond Headache Clinic -- I can't tell you how many young kids I saw. Many of them had been scorned by friends, teachers, etc. -- who can't believe they have severe headaches. But they do. You could see the classic symptoms -- the big pupils, tearing eyes and the cold hands. For the first time many of them found support and healing. Seek out a headache specialist in your state. Or go to one of the national headache clinics if you can afford it. Do what you can this summer, while school is out. My heart broke for these kids and their parents because it's a rough road. You've got to find a doctor that will not only help your son, but be his advocate. Many of these kids need doctor's excuses for missing school and tests, etc. As someone said, fire the nuerologist and get someone who'll be on your team. God bless. Emily
