Hello,
My name is John J. Hallahan III and I live in the county at 1058 Highlands Drive where I have resided for 12 years, since October 27th of 1989.
On Fathers day of this year I had my first in a series of 4 Heart Attacks while at Denny's restraint and on the 2nd of July I went into the Naples Community Hospital and had an Angioplasty procedure to correct the problem.
Due to this fact I was unable to attend the Fire Works Display at the Naples Fishing Pier with My wonderful(But highly stressed out) wife of 29 years and the two Grandchildren that we are raising ages 3 & 8. They all had a wonderful time and Greatly enjoyed the fireworks Display and when it concluded they headed back to where thy thought the Van was Parked.
Again I usually go and have the built in GPS system (Mental) to locate where we parked. Consequently my Wife Teresa Lee Hallahan, tried to return to where she thought the van was ,however could not locate it, hours passed and the people thinned out as they continued to look everywhere she could imagine, at some point she hooked up with one of your Officers and explained the situation.
He immediately began searching the area for the van, but was also unable to locate it, hours passed and at some point he had to pull off to attend an emergency situation at a near by tavern where a fight had broken out. he then involved another officer and they called me to get the vital information about the Van. Color, make and ,model and the Tag number.
They then involved a third officer, a police woman to help with the kids so Mrs. Hallahan could assist in the search.
These three officers went so far above and beyond the average call of duty to help my wife that I feel compelled to Officially notify your office of their extraordinary efforts at not only helping Mrs. Hallahan find our vehicle, but due to prior events in the Grandkids lives they could very easily been traumatized, just from having to be around the police, whom it has taken us nearly 3 years to make them (The Grandkids) understand that you are the "Good Guys. Both of their parents are now in Jail or Prison and put the children through some very extreme situations living the life style that got them incarcerated!
Trysten Kyle Hallahan is 3 and Heaven Leigh Cox is 8 and have been with us since December 7th of 1998 when their mother called and told us the State Of Wisconsin was going to take them and place her in custody in prison for 12 years, It was a lie like almost everything that ever came from this woman's mouth and even though she did end up getting 6 months, she has since violated and is doing 5 more years that just started on the 17th of May of this year.
Your Officers Badge #'s,#110 Phil Strevett,#55 Jennifer Butler, and #20 Ralph Anthony, deserve much more than just a thank you from us, they were great in the field in their actions and the compassionate way they handled the situation was absolutely Magnificent!
Thank You Again, from The Bottom of my recently repaired Heart, for without their assistance this could very easily have turned into a horrendous situation.
