Like many others, I was very apprehensive about traveling 3000 miles to a strange city and meeting people who I've only met via a computer screen. Let me tell you something I heard over and over again by others and it's very true. About one second into meetin everyone, I felt at home. There was instant bonding and rapport.
Over at the bar one night, I got hit really bad and really FAST! I barely made it to the womans room where several "of us" helped me. Jonny...thank you for preventing me from bangin my head open. Jane, thank you for the 02. I was sooo embarassed afterward but Todd made me see I had nothing to be embarrassed about, and I'd never see the people in that bar again anyway.
I also had the misfortune of having to sit there helpless while I sawsomeone else getting hit. Jeez...it broke my heart.
Riccardos friend Pierro from Italy was just the sweetest thing. I simply complimented her on her ring, and she gave it to me.
Nancy, thank you for the laughs. Den, sorry they were at your expense.
At the drawing for door prizes, I got 2 Imitrex nasel sprays. There were 4 there. The next winner was James whom I'd never met or even heard of before, but he won the other 2 and guess what he did? Walked right on over to me and gave his 2 to me. Several others also gave me some Imitrex and I went home with a bag full which is like gold to me since I can only get 6 per month.
Ueli is a very quiet man, mainly because he doesn't understand English well, but gosh, is he a sweetheart!
I thought we got a lot of goals all planned out very well, and believe me we all had a great time, although I bet on the average we had 4 hours sleep per night.
Elaine, thank you for all your very hard work and BTW....the only reason I didn't talk too much was because I couldn't get a word in edgewise.LOL
I For everyone who could not attend this convention...Please allow me to urge you to try very hard to get to next years. You will not regret it. It was worth all the trouble.
