I suspect the reason that your experiment with 1000 micrograms of LSD was successful was not so much the quantity of LSD involved (MONSTER dose, dude!) as it was the fact that you had stopped the cafergot. I'll bet a thousand bucks against a plugged nickel that ergot compounds will completely negate any benefits of taking hallucinogens.

As for the theory that circadian rythyms are altered by the drug... ummm, perhaps. It depends on how much drug is needed to upset the body's mechanism. Don't forget that the majority of reports we have so far are from those who have taken quite small amounts... amounts too small to induce any noticeable time distortion.

Of course, the timing mechanism MIGHT be altered without there being any subjective time distortion, just as the cluster cycles are stopped without any real "trippy" effects.

Definitely something to chew on.
