The last bout I had was a year and a half
ago and it was the first time I tried Imitrex.
I will never use that stuff again. Talk about
rebound headaches instead of every other day
I suffered everyday for 1 1/2 months. The beast
would wake me up and instead of my headache
going away it would go immediately past 10
on the KIP scale for at least 1/2 hour with
my head feeling like it was going to explode.
Sometimes (about 33% of the time) it wouldn't
work at all and I would have to wait for 2 hrs
with the beast hurting my entire top of my head
instead of just behind my left eye, before
I could do another squirt in the nose. Yes I was
also using oxygen the whole time the beast was
with me. I prefer my old treatment of oxygen
and percodans to anything they have tried.
As I have said before oxygen is the best if
you can get to it before the headache gets to
bad. No, percodan will not stop the headache
but they make it tolerable enough to wait
for the beast to quit. Imitrex does not help
me at all. And if you take pain medication for
pain and not for pleasure you will not become
addicted.
