Just curious my husband has been taking verapamil for clusterheadches. I have read articles on the internet
that this drug belongs to a group of drugs called
calcium channel blockers, and that these drugs cause infertility problems in 95% of males taking them. They somehow prevent sperm from binding to the eggs and thus cause infertility in men. They supposedly are being studied as a male contraceptive. Since my husband is on this drug and we want to start a family, his doctor wants him to change drugs, but he is having a tough time with other Rx and his headaches.
Has any males on this drug ,who have taken it for more than 6 months, been able to father children?
